I really, really want to be a loving companion in a chill, quiet home with at least one other friendly cat. Could that be with you?
My foster mom tells me I'm super-handsome, and that I have a very cute little voice. I don't talk a lot, but it's nice to know that when I do, it'll bring a smile to your face!
I enjoy lots of scritches and I ask for them by rubbing my foster mom's legs and purring and making the most hopeful faces you've ever seen. I'll flop for belly rubs, and I enjoy smooshy chin and cheek rubs, too. If the chin scritches are good enough, I'll even let her smooch my forehead and cheeks while she makes "numnumnum" noises. I find it a little embarrassing, honestly, but she likes it.
Now, I have to admit that I'm not going to walk out of my carrier and be your bestie right away. See, I've had some bad experiences in the past, so I need time to learn to trust you and get brave. I just need someone who'll let me take some time to adjust. Someone who'll let me chill out and maybe even hide for a little while, then give me lots of treats (Temptations! Squeezy tube treats!) to boost my confidence, and not be mad if I keep my distance while I figure things out. Then, once I do get that confidence in you, I'll let you give me belly rubs and smooshy chin and cheek rubs, too!
Other than needing time and bribes - er, treats - fur mouse toys, and maybe a feather wand or two, I'm a pretty simple guy. I'm fairly independent, and love looking out windows, especially if there are squirrels or birds or even people going by on the sidewalk. I enjoy chilling in a cat tree. I am perfect with the litterbox and great with scratching posts. You can leave a nice big bowl of kibble out for me and I'll snack through the day without having to bother you. And if you feel like giving me some yummy wet food, I'll appreciate that, too! I'm also very good at sharing food and toys with my cat friends, and won't bully them or be mean. Even though I'm a pretty big boy, I'm gentle and deferential... with a playful streak! A big one! If your cat needs a wrestling pal, I can definitely be persuaded!
Look, I know everyone loves the cat that wants to be your snuggle buddy right away. And yeah, I get it - that is pretty awesome. You'll have to wait a little longer for my love, but I absolutely promise you that'll just make it an even bigger reward. And of course, I'll look amazing on your Instagram feed right away! I mean, just check out my snazzy grey tuxedo and soulful eyes!
