Hesper has made his journey all the way from Kuwait, where he was rescued from a parking basement in which cats are regularly poisoned. Luckily, a nice lady who works in the adjoining museum was able to get him out before he was harmed! Although he may look more like an adult cat, Hesper still acts like a kitten! He loves to rub up against people and head butt your legs. He has lots of energy, and he loves playtime with humans. He also loves to eat! He’ll never turn down food. Hesper is a major cuddlebug, and will jump up to join you on the couch, or follow you wherever you go. Hesper will be best suited for a household where he is the only pet/king of the jungle!
Hesper is FIV+. FIV is a virus that is non-transmissible to humans or animals other than cats. It is only transmissible between cats through deep tissue wounds - not through sharing water or food. Cats with FIV live long and happy lives as long as they are on a good diet and taken in for yearly vet check-ups (as all cats should be!). Hesper requires no other medication or treatments. Hesper does best when not surrounded by other cats - he has too much energy and tends to play too rough! When overstimulated, Hesper has a habit of nipping sometimes, but he can be taught not to do so by a patient adopter.
