I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Meela

We're happy to tell you that Meela has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Cats Page to see the cats currently available.

At only three years old, Meela has already been through so much in life! She was born in Bahrain, and brought to Toronto in early 2024, along with her sisters Meera and Sugar, to find a better life than the one they could lead there. Meela is slow to trust, but once you gain her confidence, she becomes a chatterbox who demands petting and brushing! Meela tends to bond with one new person at a time, but if you are her chosen person, you will certainly know it! For some reason, Meela is a plastic lover. She doesn’t even try to eat it - she’ll just lick the garbage bag that overhangs the lid of the box. She has a hilarious personality that, with patience, you will be rewarded with, and highly entertained by!

Meela can still be a bit skittish at times, due to some of her previous experiences with humans in Bahrain. It took her months to first settle into her foster home, but now, she adjusts to new people quite quickly! She let her new roommate pet her within a week, and a friend, after only two visits, also snuck in a few pets! She has learned that people aren’t here to hurt her. Although she’s shy at first, she deserves her fur-ever home just as much as the kitties with bold personalities that show right off the bat.

Meela’s journey from a scared kitty to the outgoing, talkative, loving girl she has proven to be has been documented on Instagram and TikTok at @wintersfosterfriends. Meela hasn’t been tested with dogs, and is scared of young children, but she loves being with other cats. She trusted the other cats in her foster home before the humans. If you would like to give Meela the loving home she so deserves and add her to your multi-cat household, please contact Team Cat Rescue today!
