She’s sweet, she’s sassy, she’s Shelby!
Shelby had a rough start when she first arrived at Team Cat Rescue - she was picked up outside and dealing with pyometra, a serious and painful infection of the uterus that threatened her life. We helped get this little lady physically healthy again, but in some ways, she’s still on a healing journey. She craves love and attention but doesn’t always know how to receive it. She seeks out touch but sometimes feels overwhelmed by it. This means that she can be particular about how and where she is pet. She enjoys being pet or brushed on the floor and is less comfortable being touched when she’s on a chair, desk, or cat tower. It’s kinda like she speaks a very specific language and just needs someone to learn it. Maybe that someone is you!
Because Shelby makes great company - she loves sitting at her foster mom’s feet, curling up on her lap, or watching her work from a cat tower. She likes rubbing up against your legs, headbutting them gently, and sleeping next to a warm laptop. And we know we’re mentioning the obvious here, but she’s just absolutely beautiful! Simply cute as heck!
