His name is Old Norse for "youth," "boy," or "lad", all quite fitting for this sweet and dashing two-year-old laddie (cattie?). Remarkably well-behaved with such a loving disposition, Sven often wants to sit directly on your lap, or close enough to reach out and touch you with his little paws. And just look at that cuddle monster potential! He can get the zoomies several times a day (typical of his age) and will chase toys. He loves spring toys, and will bring them to you and chase after them when thrown. He also makes his own obstacle courses (talk about creative genius!), jumping over people if they're laying on the couch, balance-walking across ledges, and jumping from heights. Naps are a must after all that frenetic activity!
The ancient Norse gods must've taken kindly to Sven’s fate, as they made sure he was spared from euthanasia due to a urinary blockage, and wove a bright tapestry of hope for this promising, gentle cutie. This happy twist of fate means Sven will continue to require special urinary care food to maintain his good health. He is a very good eater, and will typically ask you for food if ever he sees you go into the kitchen. We also recommend keeping watch over your water glasses, as he seems drawn to them! One thing Sven is really good at is being respectful of sleep time, and waiting until you're up before making requests for breakfast!
Sven doesn't mind being picked up at all, and is very accommodating to having his nails clipped, or his medication given to him when he was recovering from a virus. How rare and precious is that? Occasionally, he may jump at loud noises or hide under the couch, but he’ll come right out again when you call him! While he's had some exposure to other cats, he could also take a liking to children and dogs after a proper, mindful introduction.
