Yakie is a sweet senior kitty, and she plays the grandmother role perfectly! She’s chatty, loves to laze around on the couch, and takes plenty of naps. If you sit down next to her, she’ll come and lean against you. She’ll also follow you from room to room, just to be near you (and to keep up the conversation, of course)! She’s not a fan of wand toys - jumping takes too much energy! - but she loves to lay on the ground with a stuffed toy and bunny kick it.
Since Yakie is blind, it takes her some time to memorize a new environment, and she can be a bit insecure during that period. She’s sometimes a bit growly, but she’s never aggressive. When Yakie bumps into the other cat in her foster home, she hisses in defense, but then just walks the other way. And she’s pretty easy to settle back down afterwards with some reassuring petting or brushing! She’s a huge lovebug and adores human attention. She’d do best in a home with adults only, or older children who can pay this grandmother her due respect!

Yakie’s foster mom crocheted the purple blanket in some of the photos for her, so it can go to her adoptive home with her (perhaps in her carrier)!
